The Tamiya Clod Buster is a 1/10-scale radio control Monster Truck
released September 21, 1987 by the Tamiya Corporation. With its four wheel drive,
four-wheel steering, twin Mabuchi RS-540 motors and 165 mm tires it quickly became one of Tamiya's
most popular radio controlled model kits.
Later on, Tamiya changed a few small things on the Clod Buster like chrome
wheels, blue plastic features instead of red, and different decals, and called it the Super Clod Buster! Pretty much the exact
same truck!
The Clod Buster has been a hot-bed of potential for people who love to modify! With its strong diff's,
and motors mounted right on the axles to prevent torque twist, the Clod has been turned into a crazy, modified truck
many times over by countless people and aftemarket companies! Here we'll look over some Clods, as well as some pretty
nice Racing Clods!

These are a couple pictures of a Clod Buster axle. These are the heart and soul of any Clod,
stock or Modded! As a matter of fact, many a Custom Clod is built using just (2) of these axles, and nothing else out of the
kit!
This axle is one I built for a custom project where the ends have custom re-inforcement braces, and you'll
notice (2) screws extruding from the bottom of the ends. These are installed so a custom 4-link set-up can mount up the bottom
links!
